The project involves six partners from Lithuania (3), Poland (2), Sweden (1). The partnership is composed of public administration, universities, association, SME. The partners are not supported by any associated partner. The project is led by Administration of Lithuania Minor Protected Areas (LT). The overall project objective is to promote technology transfer and cooperation between SMEs and research entities through innovative solutions for the diversification of goods harvested from South Baltic aquatic ecosystem at South Baltic small ports and communities. The project’s activities are gathered in four content related work packages. They will start with formalising the cooperation network and surveying potential aquatic ecosystem goods. Then, partners will focus on the development of a cross-border innovative seafood product offer and thalassotherapy product offer. The final step will be transferring developed best practices in innovative means of harvesting aquatic ecosystem goods to the small ports of the South Baltic Area and beyond, mainly via local showcases and training programmes tailored for local SMEs. Two feasibility studies to assess the investment potential of prepared offers will also be developed. The main target groups are defined as: SMEs in the South Baltic small ports, communities of South Baltic small ports, younger generations and the international Blue Economy innovation community (research institutions).
