This is the first article of a new weekly column, Explore South Baltic, which is going to dive you into the regional landscape of the South Baltic region.
The first region to introduce is the Pomerania region of Poland, where our office is based in the city of Gdansk. This region distinguish itself for its cross-cultural history – Polish, Kashubian and German – and a wide range of natural landscapes – among these the Słowiński National Reserve, a UNESCO biosphere reserve.
Also, it is possible to cross the Pomeranian region through a wide web of bike-lanes. Not by chance, here the Pomorskie Tourist Board launched the Biking South Baltic project in partnership with project partners from Poland, Germany and Denmark. The project aims to promote the South Baltic coastal areas as a cross-border cycle touristic product, crossing the natural and cultural tourist resources along the Baltic Sea Cycle Route Copenhagen-Gdansk.
