Information on extending the duration of the national state aid programme for the financial perspective 2014-2020 and changing its number

02.07.2021

Please, be informed that due to the extension of the timeframe of validity of European Commission regulations (EU) No 651/2014 and 1407/2013 [2] until 30th June 2024, the duration of the national state aid programme [1] for the financial perspective 2014-2020 was extended.

Therefore, till the end of the extended period of validity of the national state aid programme is still possible to provide state aid or the minimis aid projects funded by the Interreg operational programme EN VA – Poland – Denmark – Germany – Lithuania – Sweden (South Baltic) Programme 2014-2020. State Aid may be granted for the purposes indicated in the national state aid programme.

Due to the extension of the duration of the national state aid programme, its number has been changed.

The changed number of the national state aid programme is SA.58572 (2020/X). This number should be used since 1st July 2021.

Changing the number of the state aid programme does not require introducing changes to already signed contracts with state aid. The new number of the state aid programme should be indicated since 1st July 2021 in the following documents:

  • Contracts with state aid (i.e. contracts regarding co-financing of project, partnership agreements, concluded by project partners with end recipients of state aid), signed after 30th June 2021,
  • Annexes to subsidy contracts with state aid concluded after 30th June 2021,
  • Reports on the state aid, issued after 30th June 2021, regardless of whether they concern contracts concluded before or after that date.

The obligation to provide the number of the national state aid programme does not apply to reporting on the de minimis aid granted, which does not refer to the number of the aid programme.

Template contracts and forms of reports with the new number of the aid programme are available on the Programme’s website: https://southbaltic.eu/subsidy-contract-template
